Price was about $30 less than their closet competitor. Some people on their reviews didn't like they couldn't dim the front panel light it was either on or off, I like it on, in my opinion it ads a kind of cool factor to it. As far as performance of this thing goes we will have to wait to see the next time we have a power outage or spike here, which in my neck of the woods happens far too often. The eight outlets is more than enough for me, I am only using two right now, one for my turn table and one for my amp. Nice to know if I want to add a CD player, receiver or something else I have the ability to do so.
