Some of the canes I looked at are 0.9 inch diameter. The Ka-bar was 1 inch. It is a bit of a snug fit to get it on the other canes. It's easier to do with a bit of WD-40 or light oil on the cane (metal canes, and very slight amount needed.) Not sure if it will go on your cane. **Q: Can you use WD40 to put it in the cane?** A: I used 2 of them on J shape cane handles.. To get it on handles, use dish soap on handle and put a small amount in foam handle (holding linger on one end and shake and it will coat inside of handle replacement. That will make it slide on easily (small amount of soap is enough) onto the cane handle. When it is place, squeeze out any excess. Let it dry for a couple of hours. Am 83 and it was easy. I was given a metal cane to help walk as I have twisted my knee, but the foam handle on it was quite worn. I ordered this replacement as it is similar to the original on the cane.
