In the workshop I've also used it for heat-shrink tubing, loosening stubborn adhesive and other small jobs where a controlled flame is useful. The stand keeps it stable on the worktop, and it feels comfortable to hold even when using it for longer periods. It also feels reassuringly well made rather than like a flimsy disposable torch. It's easy to fill with butane, ignites reliably every time, and the adjustable flame gives you plenty of control depending on what you're doing.
