Review: Works great on several wood varieties, but others not so much. - Works amazing on knurled walnut countertops, walnut knife handles, zebra-wood, red oak, and Brazilian walnut. However I tried it on knurled maple and it hardly took at all, even with sanding and water brush application. Granadillo, and blood wood went well and gave it a richer color, poplar though did not seem to take well. Unfortunately I failed to keep pictures of the red oak and poplar. The product is made from citrus and tung oil and rated safe for food surfaces such as counters and cutting boards, and looks great on the walnut countertops. I love the citrus scent but it can be overpowering and I would recommend that you use the product with an open window or well vented area. One quart will go a long way, however pending on the porosity of the wood that may vary. On the countertops I used 4-5 coats and used about a gallon over all, re using the used lint free cloths on the consecutive coats helped. Knife handles made from knurled walnut and other woods worked very well and gave an almost iridescent tiger's eye appearance. In all I recommend the product if you dislike harsh chemicals, but some woods may have results that are less than desirable.

Stunning and can’t stop being thankful for this miracle product. Rubbed one coat on with a rag and trusted the process. Certain parts of the pine that were more well-sanded took it noticeably darker, and if I wanted a darker coverage overall I realized I could have sanded more roughly. But as it was, I LOVED IT. Really took my yellowy raw pine and made it something special. Also I have never in my life stained anything of worked with wood, and this was super easy to work with. Will use again!
