I guess? It's pretty low quality (the seams on the bag started unravelling the moment we unpacked it), but if you're here on Amazon, you're probably already expecting junk. The "chromed" elbow joint is definitely a joke. It's basically a flimsy foil sticker over a hinge that works about 10% of the time. We were pleasantly surprised when it didn't break on day 1.We used this for three days before it got lost on a ferry. Don't miss it. Sad to be out $40, but at least it didn't get blown into someone on the beach. I'd recommend insurance - like, personal liability insurance – if you do purchase this. For whatever it's worth, the house where we were staying had some old school Tommy Bahama umbrellas, which seemed way sturdier.
