Needs to be sold with a much longer attachment, as it is kind of ridiculous to believe the short attachment that comes with it is long enough to reach up through the throat of the chimney. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Works with issues for some chimneys *by F***O on February 9, 2024* So this seems to work OK but I had the following issues to get it to work and you should be aware. My chimney has a smoke chamber of a few feet, so I needed to buy MANY of the 6" extensions to get up to the flue. It seemed odd to me that there are not 1' and 2' extensions. The other, much bigger issue is that my damper opening was angled such that I could not get the flue blocker in. The plastic reinforcement stiffener combined with the handle made it impossible for me to find an angle where I could get through the damper. So I ended up using a dremel to cut the reinforcement on both sides so it could bend through the damper. Finally, because I had to use so many extensions to get to the flue, and perhaps because the stiffener needed to be cut, I needed to put a support in the fireplace so the extended handle didn't slide down. Basically, it held, but not really well with all the extensions on it. In terms of blocking the draft: yes, it seems to be doing that. But it was a LOT more fussing that suggested to get it to work. So just be aware of this if your fireplace has a long smokestack and a smallish damper opening.
