I try to pull it very hard. But it won't budge.** A: The best was is to replace both the cylinder and the tilt mechanism. they are both cheaper then buying a replacement chair. after time the cylinder welds itself to the seat mechanism, either way you can't remove it or you'll damage the seat mechanism. Just better to replace, cheaper if you buy both separate. **Q: Does it come with screws?** A: Mine didn't. After days of struggle, I thought replacing the entire tilt mechanism might work. It did. This tilt mechanism fit perfectly with perfect alignment. I was able to install a new gas lift cylinder to this part and now I have a "brand new" chair for the fraction of the cost. This is much sturdier than the original part on my gaming chair.
