Synopsis: it'a a good product that works as intended, gets rid of almost all the nasty buffeting on my Suzuki Vstrom and Burgman scooter. This is the third unit I've purchased of the kind and am very happy with the results so far. Pros - supremely adjustable - quick adjustment knobs require no tools - very solid and doesn't need tightening to stay in position - the shield is nicely polished and 100% clear - came pre-assembled from Motoforti (thanks!) Cons: - some of the hardware is plastic and likely won't hold up to very "frequent adjustments" over time, or too much frustrated side-of the road manhandling, but I've had one for a few years now and it's still nice and tight - that the plastic parts are tight make it a little fussy to get the positioning correct, it's a trade-off - not as nifty keen as an MRA Vario, but will adjust a whole lot more and cost a whole lot less - it's sold by a dozen different vendors at different prices and different quality, I've had good luck with Motoforti and Motoparty, not good luck with another cheaper one - it's ugly, but it works, so you gotta decide, I ride a Vstrom, so function comes first The long story. I have a Vstrom DL1000 2003. It's notorious for buffeting at speed, as are all the Stroms. My Burgman is the same. Don't know what's up with Suzuki, but here we are. I've tried a number of different screens, including the Madstad, and hundreds of bucks later, nothing quite worked. (Although, there's a fellow out there who swears by his little homemade wind deflectors mounted to the crash bars. I may try that one day.) But after a lot of my own fussing including changing the mirrors to Aprilia tuono knock-offs, looks cool, but didn't do squat, the only thing that worked was running without a screen at all. Until I got this little spoiler/deflector. Now buffeting is almost non-existent. I've used this spoiler on both a rather tall Cee-Baily and now I have it mounted on the very short "stock" non-adjustable gen 1 windscreen. But now I can adjust it just enough to get the air flowing right up and over my helmet with the least amount of turbulence. For $30, it was worth a gamble and it paid off. Now a word of warning. There are quality control issues with this product. I don't have enough experience with all the dozen or so vendors selling it, but the two purchases that were good, were from Motoforti and Motoparty. One I had to assemble myself with pretty bad instructions. The one from Motoforti came fully assembled. That was a serious time saver right there! Was on the bike in a matter of minutes. Vendors may or may not be able to fully control the quality. IDK. But after returning the bad one and trying Motoforti that cost an extra ten bucks, I was very pleased. In summary, if you get a lemon, just send it back. That's how it goes. Spin the wheel and try your luck again. Also, as mentioned, there are plastic parts and they are very tight. You have to get the tool-less adjuster knobs in their "sweet spot" to allow the screen to be positioned and it still takes a little force. But ONLY A LITTLE. That's good because when you latch them back up, it's nice and stiff. I've hit 90 mph and it doesn't move. If you're in a hurry and trying to force it, you'll probably break something. So, don't do that. Find the sweet spot. Set it and forget it. But hey, it's your money. Beat on if it you that's what works for you. Last thing. There are quite a few little parts to make this work. Different sized allen bolts. Custom knobs and fittings. You do NOT want to lose any of these fiddly little parts. I haven't yet. I don't intend to. So, I keep the allen keys in my tool bag and check the fittings from time to time. I have yet to apply any thread locker goo, but it wouldn't be the worst idea. My 2 cents. Would I buy again? Absolutely! But that will have to wait until the wife lets me add another horse to the stable. There are two rubber pieces on the inside that fall out easily making it challenging to assemble. Also came apart while trying to install on the windshield.
