I actually used it for tea but can see that the skinny pour spout is perfect for drip coffee to avoid spilling on yourself and getting burned. The kettle also comes with a scoop and bag clip which Is perfect and weighted nicely (not cheap!). One last loveable part is that after you are done the lid fits nicely to the side of the kettle so it can dry properly.
