I noted that the effectiveness here lasted for exactly one month, whereupon ants reappeared (during this hot weather). Therefore, in future, I will put two out every two or three weeks, so the baits' 'month' periods overlap, while the ants seem active, and then use them less frequently later in the year, and monitor this.
