The top straps have to be taken apart to fasten them, and once I took them apart, I could not get them back together right, so they did not stay put. I ended up having to just tie them to keep it in place. I had no place at the bottom of my seats, that I could find, to attach the bottom, so I had no use for the bottom straps.
