I like the slope of the sides and the handle is at an angle that fits comfortably without having to reach. If you make a lot of sauces or gravies, a saucier pan is an absolute MUST! The sloped sides allow you to stir and whisk without sauces getting stuck in 90 degree corners and burning or clumping. I understand that pans and pots of this quality are a bit pricey - however, as someone who has cooked for over 50 years, I can truthfully say that pans and pots like this are the LAST ones that you will ever need. They literally last a lifetime as long as you care for them properly. Because the cladding is all the way up the sides (and this is important no matter what brand you buy), the pot will always heat evenly and disperse the heat throughout whatever you are cooking. This makes a HUGE difference in the ease and quality of your cooking.
