Review: Sudden Death is a great strong wax that does not require heating - I have a reasonably strong Nicolas II stylee handlebar moustache and have been looking for a good strong but usable wax for a number of years. I have been using the Beard and the Wonderful and Captain Fawcetts, and found those to be easy and pleasant to use, but with those my moustache needs to be put back in place regularly throughout the day. I found this brand and started out with Death Grip and Bone Crusher, assuming that a stronger wax would be better. Both waxes gave a good result, but were a hassle to use - using the tool provided to scrape out wax and then heat it with a hair dryer to soften, and apply with more hair dryer before cooling, made my moustache look great but was too much like hard work. It also left a layer of sticky wax on the bathroom tap and anything else I touched before I managed to wash it off my hands. The kids were not happy. In the end I compromised and ordered Sudden Death and I could not be happier. It can be scraped out with a thumb nail and warmed using my fingers, and only on the very coldest mornings does it benefit from a gentle hairdryer. Once applied and cooled, it lasts for a whole day with only the occasional twist so long as it doesn't get wet. It doesn't cope well with drinks, but the flipside to that is that it washes out easily.
