I use it a lot and it still has good grit and no damage to the surface. My baby used to get ingrown fingernails often, so I started filing them instead of cutting them with clippers. He has not had any ingrown nails since. I have to mention the super-pointy tip, though. It's not really baby-safe as advertised.
