It was constantly trying to rotate my spray gun away from the direction I was trying to point it. I added this swivel to the hose where it attaches to the gun and the problem was resolved. The hose no longer tried to twist the spray gun in my hand. It's not cheap, but for me the increased ease of use was worth the money spent. Some reviews mentioned the swivel not moving properly or leaking. I had no such problems. I tightened it with a wrench when I installed it and it never leaked a drop. The swivel had some resistance to it and it did not flop around freely, but it did allow the gun to rotate without interference from the hose.
