While I have not taken progress pictures of the times I've used this product in the past, I can share from firsthand experience that it has never agitated my acne and is actually considered one of my "safe" products for when I'm having a really bad breakout. While this product isn't meant to target your acne, it can calm your redness and heal visible scarring faster than your body would normally repair the damaged cells of your epidermis.
