After using that remover, the skin around my nails would dry out & peel (even after using jojoba oil). I found this lavender scented version here on desertcart, read the reviews & found other people made the same comments about the clear version but found this remover more gentle. I figured I'd give it a try, plus, this one comes with a pump top, which is welcome, since this stuff evaporates fast! So, I finally had a chance to try it out, removing black & dark purple polish (with a base coat & Seche Vite topcoat). This pretty purple tinted remover worked just as quickly as the clear version, smelled much better (still has a chemically smell but not as harsh, with a pleasant lavender topnote), & was definitely more gentle on my skin. A day later, & the skin around my nails is still soft, not hard, dried out & peeling. I had my reservations about this product (me, incredulous: "really, a moisturizing, salon strength polish remover?"), but, now can say, I'm more than satisfied. I did notice it was a bit weak on cleaning up the edges of my fresh polish, but that could easily be caused by the topcoat of Seche (I'll do my polish clean-up before using Seche topcoat next time...). I'd still be glad to buy more of this remover! For sensitive skin, it really made a difference. Yep, I was pleasantly surprised!
