I have two 5-gallon water jugs I refill myself at a local vendor. I have used some caps for years and although they have worked, they are not sturdy. I recently had one of the full jugs fall over in my car and the old cap split, spilling about 2.5 gallons of water in the back of my car, in the midedle of winter, so I am still getting rid of the moisture. I started using these caps after this debacle. They seal around the entire top of the bottle neck and don't move. They are pliable so they form a tight seal. Had a bottle fall over again and the cap stayed in place, no spills.
