He has a wide, large head and wears adult men's size hats so I selected the large. As soon as it arrived, he couldn't wait to go try it out in the pool and he spent a full half hour playing in the pool with this on. He said he was able to get a tight fit but it did leak a bit around the forehead. He couldn't adjust it any tighter and have it still be comfortable so this was a bit of a problem. However, he did say the face part works great, no fogging up and he likes that it covers his whole face and he can just breathe normally. We also had a bit of a problem getting the snorkel part to fit into the clip on the mask. We pushed and pushed and pushed and couldn't get it to snap in place and were worried we were going to break it but finally, after 10 minutes it finally clipped in all the way.
