Review: Cool lil PPE safety beacon if your looking for a lil more visibility - Great safety beacon! I use it on the back of my hard hat zip tied in as an extra night / fog beacon. I work around heavy equipment on a landfill so I use the red blinker which is really bright at night kinda blinding, but great visibility from a far. Also works in the rain while I was standing in it for a lil over 8 hrs, so no probs with water. Good battery life, last a couple of weeks if you have it on the blinker setting. Haven't used the IR light yet, but wanted it just to have in case of an emergency while outdoors. It also has some other emergency lights too if you want to scare the homies.

A: The battery is part of the unit, it is rechargable no issue with use....

**Q: When the light is in ir mode will it emit a faint red light like many other ir flashlights do?**
A: No, it won’t

**Q: How many nanometers does this shine when the infrared is turned on?**
A: I believe the IR wavelength is 950nM.  I read that somewhere.  For my uses, it works great.

Great safety beacon! I use it on the back of my hard hat zip tied in as an extra night / fog beacon. I work around heavy equipment on a landfill so I use the red blinker which is really bright at night kinda blinding, but great visibility from a far. Also works in the rain while I was standing in it for a lil over 8 hrs, so no probs with water. Good battery life, last a couple of weeks if you have it on the blinker setting. Haven't used the IR light yet, but wanted it just to have in case of an emergency while outdoors. It also has some other emergency lights too if you want to scare the homies.
