Falls to hand very easily. Sharp, very sharp and does the job well.

The first thing I noticed when I received the knife was the weight. For its size it's very heavy, but in a good way when you look at the quality of it as a whole. Very well made. The second thing I noticed was how sharp it WASN'T. Out of the box it struggled to even get through the papery skin of a single garlic clove and my heart sank. I had to work rather than it glide through as you'd expect from a good quality knife. I was ready to give up on it as a waste of (quite a lot for a paring knife) money and just go back to using larger knives that I own which were super sharp out of the box. Instead I decided to sharpen and hone it to see if it really was any good and voila! the knife I wanted was in my hand.
