Each box was individually wrapped in cellophane to keep out contaminants. Two other organic brands that I purchased in the past are no longer good, they no longer seal the boxes and dust from the warehouse can get into the box. (Maxim and Organyx). The swabs are soft yet sturdy. Work well fro ears, eyes, and nostrils.
