You will need a flexible toilet water line if you do not already have one so check what you have first, if you happen to live in an older home then your toilet may still have to old straight solid lines. Adding the valve that came with the bidet will add length to the water line that's why you need a flexible one, bending the pipe is not an option, you will risk leaks and possibly bursting the pipe with pressure. Tefflon seal was not needed in our case but it wouldn't hurt to use one. No leaks so far. BIDET PRESSURE- turning the bidet valve knob all the way up will rip you a new hole! The pressure hurts! If you turn it all way up, there is a sweet spot on the handle lever, press it very gently and it will give you gentle pressure but your thumb wont always find that spot haha so I kept the knob only 1/4 way up.
