Is this normal?** A: First time I used it there was a little smoke as well. Didn’t happen after that though. It still works fine. **Q: Why does the indicator light go off during use?** A: I would assume because it made it to the temp that the knob is set too. It co.es back on once the temp changes. I believe that's how the temp stays regulated. **Q: How do i clean the pot?** A: The best way to clean the pot and remove wax is with rubbing alcohol. Empty the pot out, pour a little alcohol in and wipe with a paper towel this will also help remove the scent from the previous melt. **Q: Can this be used to pour wax seals for stamping envelopes or does it get too hot?** A: I am not sure, but there is a low setting that works well for low temp things.
