It does seem to work for most modern handguns, as it fits his pistols that aren't 1911 models. The block itself is made of a very hard, durable plastic so it doesn't scratch his guns. The holes make it easier for removing pins and prevents them from getting lost. Its compact size makes it super convenient for storing away when not in use.
