It is hard wearing, weatherproof with a robust and chalk finish and of course, it paints like a dream! Before painting you need to: -Wipe down your item with sugar soap -Give your item a light sand to provide a key for the paint to stick to Review: Excellent paint, deep matt black colour - Excellent paint! I've painted all my solid wood doors downstairs. They were all white but I wanted to spice things up. I have a really light sanding and then used a little brush for the lines in the door and a foam roller. I did two or three coats. First coat definitely looks scary, but have faith! I then noticed a couple of bits of scratching a few weeks later and stupidly decided to put clear topcoat on which gave it a shine even though it was supposed to be soft sheen. I hated it so went back in with another coat of this and I can't express enough how much better it looks! Nice deep matt black. I love it. It does dry quick but needs a few weeks to properly cure. I think I would do this again and add topcoat then another layer of this for extra durability though. Only issue is dusty marks do show up, but it's waterproof so a quick wipe with a damp cloth and it's perfect again. I am thinking of doing the bannister next and may end up doing the doors upstairs too because it just looks stunning. I left the door frames white and I've used dulux egyptian cotton on my walls. I am in love!
