**Q: Is the filter easy to replace?**
A: The sponges are reusable — you can simply backwash them when needed. If you need to replace them, just open the lid, remove the old sponges, and insert new ones.

**Q: How to prevent the light from failing early?**
A: Most early failures are from water getting in through a poorly sealed O‑ring. Check the O‑ring, apply silicone grease, tighten the lid firmly (not too tight), and keep the electrical connection dry. Test after setup.

**Q: Does the backflush fully clean the sponges?**
A: The backflush removes most loose debris for weekly maintenance. Clean when the red float rises. For a deeper clean, just open the lid and rinse the sponges with a hose once a month.

**Q: Why is water leaking from the top housing and tripping my GFCI?**
A: Leaks come from an overpowered pump or a damaged O‑ring. If GFCI trips, stop use – water may be inside. Dry and reseal the O‑ring, then check pump size against our filter's rating. Most cases are easy to fix.

Crystal clear water, easy to maintain and clean filter. This filter is fantastic!!! I’ve been struggling since last year with my pond water and I’m never able to keep it clear.
