I started taking them about 4 weeks ago to help me cope with mood swings (the highs are great, the lows less so) and just feeling out of sorts since peri-menopause struck. In about a week I felt much more like my old self, generally happy and stable. I also started taking Vogel sage supplements at the same time for hot flushes. It took a little longer for the hot flushes to ease - about 3 weeks. They haven't gone completely, but have reduced by about 90% so more fab news. Btw, if you feel particularly low and need a quick mood lift take some 5-HTP which will increase your serotonin levels. I think armed with daily Menosan, Sage supplements and occasional 5-HTP I can cope with the 'change'!UPDATE: My hot flushes are completely gone!! How amazing is that?! I am astounded at how well I feel. I've even wondered whether it's just a coincidence and that my hormones have stabilised a bit, making me feel better. But it can't be that as I'm still period-free.
