I have no doubts this thing will be able to do both. I am going to point out a few of my favorite things: -if you see pictures of cheaper goals this size in other reviews, you will see the crossbar is always sagging. This thing is super rigid. -this goal feels very similar to the goals my kids play on for their soccer club. It is a little less deep though, so it doesn’t take up more yard space than it needs to. -being aluminum, I have no concerns about this thing being left out year-round -it was easy to build on my own. The only part I needed a hand with was having someone hold the opposite side of the net while I secured it to the frame. The only gripe I have is, the packaging on the ends should provide a little more protection. The paint on one edge of one of the bars chipped a little during shipping. It’s not noticeable really, but easily preventable.
