I was getting to the point where it hurt every time I tried to stand up. I have been using this for a week now, and my back pain is gone. I do a lot of sitting, standing, bending, lifting type movements while I am at work. My lower back hurt so bad before that when I tried to stand up I would have to take about 20 seconds before I could completely straighten out my spine. I just realized last night that I was able to stand up and walk clear across the room without any pain.It does slide up and down a little bit. And the bars can slide out and poke you if you don't straighten it up once in awhile. But I wear an undershirt, then put the brace on, and wear my normal clothes on top and that seemed to have fixed that problem.I also have big hips and a small midsection, but with this brace having multiple adjustments that hasn't been a problem.
