It’s flat packed, but very easy to put together (coming from someone that isn’t always the best at flat pack) it only took me around 15 minutes, if that. It’s a very good size, and fits plenty of toys in. We now have one in our son’s bedroom and one in the living room. It’s safe enough for my son to use on his own, the mechanism does allow it to fall or slam shut, the edge that the lid sits on is scalloped to avoid trapped fingers. A must have for hiding chaos!

**Q: Does it smell something?**
A: I'm assuming this question is about whether or not the material it's made of has a smell? And I would say no, I'm a sniffer, too. Always saying random objects have their own scents, but this doesn't even smell of the paint the manufacturer used. Smell free!

**Q: Can it be sat on?**
A: Yes but only by a child 50lbs or under.

**Q: I can’t get two of the long screws to go in one of the sides. Any tips?**
A: I had to use a drill for those ones.

**Q: In the directions it says do not sit on it.  but someone posted it was ok.  which is it?**
A: It’s very sturdy for a child to sit on it not sure how much weight it can hold

Brought for a toy box for the living room and it looks really good. Was easy to put together only took one person and my kids love to sit on it and read so it very sturdy. I recently bought my second grey Amazon basics toy box as I was so impressed with the quality and sturdiness of the first. It’s flat packed, but very easy to put together (coming from someone that isn’t always the best at flat pack) it only took me around 15 minutes, if that. It’s a very good size, and fits plenty of toys in. We now have one in our son’s bedroom and one in the living room. It’s safe enough for my son to use on his own, the mechanism does allow it to fall or slam shut, the edge that the lid sits on is scalloped to avoid trapped fingers. A must have for hiding chaos!
