But if you add too much then it does taste a bit strange. I find that two pumps for every four ounces of milk and shot of espresso is perfect for my lattes. Review: Love - Great price. Should that have been included??** A: Yes, it should have. The straw is beveled on either side and connects to the pump. **Q: approx how many calories are in one pump?** A: 90 calories per 1oz. So it would depend on the pump that you put into the bottle. **Q: Does this syrup need to be refrigerated after opening?** A: Yes and no. The syrup is only good for 30-60 days unrefrigerated, but it will last a lot longer if you refrigerate it. I’ve worked at coffee shops that use them and I also use them at home. They aren’t refrigerated in shops because they’re used up so quickly that it isn’t an issue, but it’s a different story at home. If you typically use a LOT of syrup or if you don’t mind wasting a bunch of it, it’s fine to leave out on your counter. Personally, I’d keep the main bottle in the fridge and just pour some into a smaller container to leave on the counter.
