Review: Interesting flex but unreliable ink flow and poorly made piston-filler - It's got some interesting qualities (flex, piston-fill demonstrator super-cheap) but not a well-made pen generally -- you're probably better off with a TWSBI for slightly more or a Pilot Metropolitan. Or if you want flex, I hear the Noodler pens are okay. The flex is interesting -- though the steel nib isn't as soft/springy as gold options and requires a fair bit of pressure, you can get some very nice line variation from it. However, it arrives with an odd chemical/vegetal smell, scratchy nib, and really inconsistent ink flow. Polishing the nib with micro-mesh and widening/deepening the feed a bit with a razor blade helped with scratchiness and flow; after that it runs dry less often when using the flex and railroads a lot less. But it still requires some manipulation of the piston to keep railroading under control -- and the piston sticks and isn't inclined to move smoothly so you're guaranteed to get some ink blobbing.
