I have a greyhound, and it is definitely too small for him. See picture I took with a teaspoon next to it.So the only thing I can comment on is the suction. It does not stick to a wall, but it does stick to the side of a kitchen unit, I had a spare piece of unit left after i got a new kitchen and stuck it on there (see picture) it sticks really well, very secure on the unit, it also sticks on glass really well.
