Do not listen to claims of 5-10 years for shed protection. Do it every other year and your shed will serve you well. If this review serves anyone this is the advice you should take away, wear OLD clothes when painting with this and disposable gloves. It will ruin your clothes and is a royal pain to get out from under your nails. Also use cheap paint brushes as you wont be using your brush again once you have finished. All of that should tell you that this stuff lasts. If it washed off easily, then the rain would just as easily remove it and your roof would eventually succumb to leakage. It just does not come off. It does have a strong odour but you're using it outside and once it dries it is fine.
