I had no trouble installing by myself on four windows all over 8'. Depending on type of wall, I would recommend purchasing "thin wall screw anchors". These give the traverse rods much more stability and strength for a heavier curtain. I put a lace type shear on the inside thin rod and a heavier room darkening curtain (Target) on the outside rod. I searched multiple stores to find a double curtain rod for a good price, I found this one and decided to take a chance on it and I'm glad I did! I have a pair of sheer curtains on the back rod and heavier black out curtains on the front rod and it's held up pretty well, even with opening and closing the curtains constantly. Love the look and easy to install. Only problem we had was some of the screws were a little difficult to install because they were at a bad angle, but it only took us about 10 minutes to put up.
