Review: Definitely the right tool for faux painting - This product is very easy to use for applying a glaze mixed with paint patina over a background. It felt a bit pricey at first but it holds up better than sponges and the acrylic glaze washes out easily with water. The handle makes it easy to use. But the woolie should also come in a version that screws on to a extension pole for painting high wall areas. We have 15 ft ceilings and I had to duck tape it to the pole...it worked but not ideal. Great You Tube videos if you need a refresher course or are a beginner.
Review: Works Great - This thing works great. I looked up the brand's youtube channel and watched the Color Meshing video and followed those instructions. I've painted 2 bathrooms with this so far and the effect was cool on both, I'm glad I bought this tool to do the job. And I bought the small version which was great for little spaces, corners, and touch ups. The instructions say to keep the edges wet in order to keep the paint from drying. Definitely follow that advice. I didn't follow that advice first time and then I got paint dried hard around the edges and wouldn't rinse off. No worries, a few days later I trimmed the hard crusty bits off the edges and the woolie still worked great to paint a second room. But I mention this because there is another review that says you can't use it multiple times because the paint dries crusty. You can, if you keep the edges wet so they don't dry. Or if you trim the dried parts off later (although obviously there is a limit to how much you can trim off before the tool's no good anymore).

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can it be used wirh Behr Dynasty paint? I believe it's water based acrylic**
A: I have successfully used this WOOLIE with Behr paints in creating sets for the stage. I have never had any problems with it. ALL of the paints I have used have been water-based in nature. The Woolie cleans up really well, especially if you wash it immediately after use. I looked up the Behr Dynasty line of paints, and cannot see you having any problem in using this piece with them.

**Q: Can an oil-based glazed be used with this product?**
A: I don't know because I used it with a glaze that was water based but I can't imagine that you could clean it very well with an oil base paint.

**Q: do the walls need to be smooth or can you go over orange peel textured walls?**
A: I applied plaster to my walls and texturized it with pottery tools.  Then I applied two base coats of satin paint and then used a glaze with the woolie.  My surface did not have sharp edges that would cut; as long as you have a base coat that smooths over the surface I don't think there would be a problem with the texture.  I think it adds dimension and depth to your wall.

**Q: Do you have to clean the woolly after each phase**
A: There was only one phase that I used the woolie for...I painted my wall with a roller. ( a base coat color)..then I applied the colored glaze with the woolie..I did clean it after i used...

This product is very easy to use for applying a glaze mixed with paint patina over a background. It felt a bit pricey at first but it holds up better than sponges and the acrylic glaze washes out easily with water. The handle makes it easy to use. But the woolie should also come in a version that screws on to a extension pole for painting high wall areas. We have 15 ft ceilings and I had to duck tape it to the pole...it worked but not ideal.
