Man does it cast nice. Line went out nice and clean. I haven't had a reel that has retrieved this smoothly and balanced ever. Spooled reel with 6lb. mono for testing. With only a light weighted bobber, it went about 40+ yards! Last month I also picked up a couple of different Kastking spinning reels (2000). This Sougayilang is a better in my opinion. Smoothness of operation and casting distance. The only thing I don't care for is the round handle, I've never had one like this, just feels awkward in me hand. I've been trout fishing for 55+ years, and this would be my favorite reel so far. Don't tell the wife. but I might get a few more of these! Good quality and good price. I'm looking for an upgrade for my dock demon rod from zebco. It is my light tackle rod.** A: I am using, Sougayilang 5000 size spinning reel on a 12 foot surf rod with no problem. Very good reels for the price. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very smooth, just heavy *by P***. on February 15, 2025* I ordered this up for a new 5'6" ultralight rod I purchased. It's not a fancy rod and since it is ultralight, I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a reel. For the money, this is a decent reel. I got it to target small pan fish like bluegill but occasionally hook into decent size bass so I loaded it up with 6 lb braid and run 4 lb leader. The quality was better than i expected for the price. It its very smooth and casts well, too. My only complaint is that it is heavy. Really heavy. I ordered a 1000 size and it feels about the same as my 3500 size Pflueger Supreme XT's. The weight made the reel/rod combo feel very unbalanced in my hands. Enough that I returned it. It would probably be a great option for light action 6' or 6'6" rod, just too heavy for my set up. ## Frequently Bought Together - Sougayilang Fishing Reel 13+1BB Light Weight Ultra Smooth Aluminum Spinning Fishing Reel with Free Spare Graphite Spool - Reaction Tackle Braided Fishing Line - Pro Grade Power Performance for Saltwater or Freshwater Fish - Colored Fishing Line Braid for Extra Visibility - KastKing SuperPower Braided Fishing Line - Abrasion Resistant Braided Lines – Incredible Superline – Zero Stretch – Smaller Diameter – A Must-Have! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.tn/products/45456222-sougayilang-fishing-reel-13-1bb-light-weight-ultra-smooth-aluminum](https://www.desertcart.tn/products/45456222-sougayilang-fishing-reel-13-1bb-light-weight-ultra-smooth-aluminum) --- *Product available on Desertcart Tunisia* *Store origin: TN* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
