The picture quality is amazing and seems a wider angle than other cctvs. The sound is crystal clear. This is my second one as the first one was so simple to install and connect, the app allows you to have up to 36 cameras to be connected to the same device. The video quality is amazing for the price of the camera. I like all the different setting on the camera so you can focus in exactly where you want the camera to pick up any movement. You can also turn on function like person detection, Line crossed detection, camera tampering, you can also turn on a alarm which is great if you see someone on your property. The night vision is great (tip, if you are using the camera pointing out of a window turn off the night mode and then the camera will be able to see out of the glass) I like the LED functioning lights so you and others know that the camera is working. Even though the camera is not the smallest people do not notice it, so its good that it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb on your property. Another tip - purchase a good quality Micro SD card as the cheap ones can sometimes cause problems with the camera unable to record. The Tapo app is so easy to use which is a big sell to me as I want to be able to see quickly what is going on outside. Ill defiantly be buying more Tapo cameras in the future.

**Q: Can this be connected to mains junction box rather than a mains socket? Thanks**
A: No. It comes with a moulded adapter that includes the 3 pins of a plug. 
The output of the adapter is 9 volts DC and 0.6A. 

So I’m guessing you might have the same problem I had, not having a socket near to where you want to put the camera. 

I got around this by extending the DC lead, (7 meters of Halfords car speaker wire at about £4.50) 

The cable length gives a drop of about 0.15 volts, so nothing to worry about. 
I also made sure the join would be indoors, soldered the joins (offset) and used heat shrink on the individual wires and then over the complete join. 
Took about 10 minutes.

**Q: Is the wire thin enough to go through the side of a window? Or does the wire need drilling through the external wall?**
A: Yes, the black cable is thin enough to let my double glazed window closed tightly.

**Q: Can you extend the power cable**
A: Yes you can buy extension cable to your length preference.

**Q: Can it work on samsung tablet or in a tv**
A: I use is it on my Samsung smartphone on WiFi or live data.
I can not see why a laptop or ipad wouldn't work

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fabulous cameras

I spent a long time deciding what camera system to go for. I originally had a google next cam system but I got fed up with subscription fees. I tried the newest generation Blink cameras but they weren’t upto it, sluggish connection and relentless notifications were a real pain. I nearly opted for a Eufy system until a friend told me about Tapo. I decided to go for theme best I could get, 4K with pan / tilt and AI detection. Honestly they are unbelievable value for money, have superb image quality, great zoom, night vision etc etc. The app is great, you are up and running within 10 minutes, so easy to setup. The model I got are hard wired so no batteries and with a simple micro SD card the loop record is there forever. It really is fit and forget. I bought the recommended micro SD cards, they say go for a high quality one that is capable of constant recording. So far so good, brilliant!!
