Mouth guard felt very bulky and uncomfortable at first- like I had a mouthful of marbles. I fell asleep in 20 minutes on night 1 and have been sleeping well ever since. Either my wife or I was going to the couch often due to my snoring. She was irritated, and I was irritated with the constant nudging. My snoring is reduced by 90-95%. It is a non- issue now. Plans for separate bedrooms are canceled. I don’t find it uncomfortable at all anymore. It does move my teeth but everything realigns quickly. Slobbering is definitely a negative. I slobber like a Rottweiler every night but way better than the alternative. After 2 minutes in the hot water, the plastic actually STUCK both to the bottom of my measuring cup and to the fork I used to hold it down under the water. When I peeled the mouthpiece off of them, long thin strands of plastic stretched out from the edges of the mouthpiece ! I still tried to put it in my mouth, thinking that maybe once it was in between my teeth it would be reformed. Nope, it still came out a total mess, with stringy strands of plastic and sharp edges all around (see the photos). I am rating three stars because the company, Dentemp, sets aside their return policy if purchased on Amazon. The literature enclosed with the product outlines a return policy, but when I attempted to return my request was refused because it was purchased on Amazon. In Lou of refund, I asked if credit could be given to purchase one of their regular guards, but it was also declined. Amazon, because of the nature of the product, will not honor returns. After reaching out to Amazon, I was granted a one time credit as a courtesy. The product is available elsewhere, as are similar from other manufacturers, so while I appreciate Amazon working with me this time, be advised that if purchased here it will most likely not be returnable for any reason, other than if defective.
