The broken band for your Fitbit Surge.You may have also viewed help videos on changing the band but it’s not as complicated as it seems (at least not like the one I viewed, not this seller’s video but another by some seller on eBay.). You don’t need the glue basically.If your bottom band (as you hold the watch face up) is broken then you’re in luck you also don’t have to worry about the GPS antenna step as that’s for the top band replacement (the one with the buckle)If your top band is broken (like mine was) then you don’t have to worry too much either about the GPS antenna. You just unscrew the broken band with the supplied mini screwdriver, take the broken one off, then use the supplied cleaning tool to gently clean away the old gunk and glue underneath the old band.Once you do that, taking care to not scratch the antenna underneath (it looks like a brown or dark yellow piece of scotch tape with a white arrow on it) then you can just snap on the new band, and screw it on, and you’re good to go.It’s not necessary to apply fresh glue before putting the new band on and in fact I’d say don’t do it because the toughest step is putting the new band on. You have to apply enough force to hear a distinct snap to put it on properly. Otherwise you won’t be able to screw it on. So if you have glue underneath it will probably make a big mess with the considerable force necessary to snap the band on. Again though, you need to hear an audible “snap” before trying to use the screws.A word about the screws too I’d save the original screws Fitbit used and not the ones that come with these replacements as the old ones work fine. The supplied screws may work; can’t attest to that. Others though have apparently written that they don’t quite fit and so the strap doesn’t fit flush with the watch. The screws are tiny so if you can’t see well up close I’d use some reading glasses or some other kind of magnification when fastening the screws to the watch.Took about 10 minutes total and now I have a “new” Fitbit surge for about $10! As you can see from the photos the strap fits well, no gaps between it and the watch, and again this is without applying glue of any sort. I’ve been wearing it for a week now with no problems. Well worth it at least to try before running out to buy a new watch for $200-$300. As I was struggling to put the strap on the watch, I figured I had nothing to loose by applying a lot more force than I thought safe. You should too after all this only costs a fraction of a new watch and if you’re successful you get a new one for 1/10th the cost. If you’re not successful, and you end up breaking your watch trying to snap on the strap, what have you lost anyway but a watch you couldn’t wear anymore in the first place? ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars 2nd one *by W***E on Reviewed in the United States on December 1, 2018* I've had my Surge for a couple of years now and the original band came apart in less than a year. The first replacement band was a much higher quality than the original and was going strong, but my wife broke the buckle on the band. I got a new replacement and only changed the side with the buckle. I'll keep everything else for spares. It's easy to replace the band and these are a perfect fit. I've found the secret to getting the band to last longer is getting a cover that fits over the body of the watch and covers where the bands attach to the body. That prevents the edges of the band around the watch from getting caught on things and tearing. I've also seen some reviews talking about a rash under the band. The original and replacement bands have both done this to me as well. It seems to be more of an issue with wearing the band too tight rather than some problem with the band. If I loosen it up a notch it doesn't happen, but the heart monitor seems to be less accurate as a result. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Do over think putting it on the eaych *by H***I on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2021* There is no mobile app. It is slightly stiffer than the part of the band it replaced and is not a perfect fit but so far it serves it's purpose.I just took the old one off while being careful not to displace anything under it.
