For full-frame sensors, We recommend that the Anamorphot-40 1.33x be used with 50mm or longer focal length lenses; it is compatible with select wider lenses when using S35 (35mm or longer) and Micro Four Thirds sensors (20mm or longer). The Anamorphot-40 1.33x features adjustable focus marked normal and near. This doesn't fit on that lens, and it wasn't possible to contact the seller. But, if you buy a 46 to 52 step-up ring (metal) it works just fine. Make sure you change the size of the frame when you're editing and it works just fine. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best anamorphic solution on a budget *by J***F on November 5, 2018* I've been using this for a couple of months with my Panasonic GH5 (which has a 2x crop compared to full-frame). Once you find the right lenses to pair this with, it's an anamorphic dream. There is nothing close to this price that is basically single focus and can produce cinemascope aspect ratio shooting in 16:9. The compact size is a huge plus too. You can use it on a smaller gimbal with continuous autofocus if you wanted to. As for the best native M43 lenses to use this with, I've had great luck with the Lumix 20mm and Lumix 25mm f/1.7. The SLR Magic 25mm Hyperprime is awesome too. You can get really sharp results over f/2.8 or so. Pairing this with a vintage lens on a M43 adapter works just fine too, you'll just have to play with the near/far dial a little more to get it just right. Overall, a great budget anamorphic adapter. One last tip: slap on a cheap +2 diopter if you want to get really close! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ How can you review??? *by C***N on April 7, 2021* Any sensor under aps-c size will work at 35 mm field of view equivalent.Caveat on APS-c 35mm equivalent? At hyperfocal distance at F/2.8 / 3.5 you will vignette, strongly, but not always!If subject is near, around 1 m, vignette will disappear. Sharpness is good (even in corner) overall contrast excellent. I don't want to remove a start for the cornering. And to the seller, I have to applaud them, they pre agreed for me to return the lens, (then cancelled) when I realized that it is a great lens.Build is excellent, no play, tolerances are great, collimation is excellent.Did I get lucky?These lenses are tricky to review, because they are no ordinary.
