Review: Exactly as advertised! - I'll start out by saying I seldom leave product reviews. Almost never. I was pretty impressed with this unit. I first tried an Atoto A6PF. Hot garbage in my opinion, issues with Wi Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and not very user friendly. I returned it and got this Pioneer head unit. I have used many Pioneer audio products over the years, and they have all been solid. I put this in my 2004 Super Duty truck with the help of a Metra 95-5817 installation kit and it fits perfectly. It does require trimming the opening of the dash bezel on the top and bottom, but pretty minor and looks pretty good. it's a snug fit in the radio pocket of the dash also, so it is nice and solid once installed. Everything worked as it should, and the wireless Carplay works awesome. It was very easy to connect and the other features are easy to find and use also. I will be upgrading the speakers for sure, but it even sounds ok with the crappy factory speakers. I added the desertcart suggested back up camera and couldn't be happier. I did all the install work myself, no rocket science here and pretty straight forward. Really nice unit for this price range! Review: Fits and sounds great no freeze up and the touch controls work instantly when touched on screen . - This radio sounds and looks great haven't has any issues so far in the last 6 months. The installation process was not overly difficult and the unit seemed to be working fine. I also installed a reverse camera along with the unit. Just under 4 months after purchase, the unit does not power on. I checked all relevant fuses for the vehicle (2008 F-150) and no issues there. Removed the unit and connected a power source completely separate from the vehicle and the unit still does not power on. I contact Pioneer, and the best they can offer is I ship the unit to a warehouse in Stanton, CA, which I have to pay for, and in approximately 2 weeks they will ship back the unit supposedly repaired. In the mean time, I am supposed to leave a gapping hole in my work truck... got it. Save yourself the trouble and do not buy this unit. To Pioneer, you guys are truly worthless. You continue to produce a faulty product and expect the customer to pay for shipping and wait a minimum of 2 weeks to fix a problem you ultimately created.
