If you just want on/off control those lights, you can add on/off switch on the main power cable. If you want brightness dimming control, pls add a dimmer switch to control. **Q: Will these work on a 24v system?** A: No, it works with DC12V system only. **Q: What size gage wire? I ran 16awg on a 5amp breaker and the lights melted.** A: These are 12 volt DC lights not 120 Volt AC no wonder they melted **Q: can I use existing on/off dimmer switch in my van?** A: should be able to, would recommend just getting the recommended dimmer switch . otherwise you have to turn on the dome lights also , seperate switch would allow individual lighting and being LED would be less strain on your Van battery . hope this helps .
