These are designed for use in enclosed spaces like safes. Also, make sure you get the ones that will cover the whole space. There are bigger zerust tabs that protect a larger area. **Q: Is this safe to use in the home?** A: I use it in the home. It emits a rust preventing vapor. I would not use it on items you contact a lot. such as a razor, since you might have an allergy or reaction to it.
