Collar is very durable EXCEPT the ring. My dog comfortably pulled so much he broke the ring - I have a Beagle mix and he's very strong. He loves his color and I don't know how it happened but the ring almost went completely straight. We leash him by the buckle until we can get a new collar. This collar is "padded", which seemed like a good idea. But as you can see from looking at the pictures (see pictures of product), the padding doesn't go all the way around the collar, it only covers about half of the collar - and there the padding stops, the seams are rubbing against my dog's neck and he's starting to get two bald spots on each side of his neck, where the seams rub him.
