Review: LOVE this stuff- it's the real deal - Excellent for growth and works as promised. I purchased a generic koi baby from the pet store, and within maybe two months he has gained significant weight and length. My older koi, also generic and store bought, grew to a healthy lovely plump size in no time. I am sooooo glad that I switched to this premium koi food over pet store brands that are probably junk. :) Be sure to review the small writing on the bottom right, or side panel, to confirm you're using the correct size for your koi. If I had to repurchase, I would have started them on the smaller kibble, but I'm fortunate this worked out so well. Even the busy baby-making tiny mosquito fish love it. (Mosquito fish are native to our area, like tiny minnows. They were added to our koi pond, by my kiddo for fun!)

My tosai grew about an inch a month during the warm months when I fed them this twice a day. It was their favorite food by far. They got incredibly spoiled and were annoyed when they had to switch back to wheat germ in the fall 😄. The pellets are too small to sustain full-grown koi, but they loved the taste as well.

I only feed Hikari because it's the best according to a dealer that I follow from the UK. He has to grow the koi fast with quality conformation because he's in business and has to get the most from every dollar and every day. My babies from this year's spawn are growing like weeds on it! I wish they'd sell the small growth pellets in this size of a bag because right now,, I'm still crushing the medium pellets for the smaller babies and that is a pain five times a day.
