I don't want them to die?** A: Yes. Dechlorinate water before use. It's supposed to kill everything in it. So we can drink it. Shower in it . And so on . I don't know if shrimp eggs can survive incubation in chlorine for a day while it dissipates. But I wouldn't risk it. I've never heard of any sub species or selective breeding.
