When I use this product I mix the required amount for the size of the pond, leave the pump off for a day and it clears the water for approximately 10 weeks ( also depends on the time of year and weather conditions). **Q: How much can I add to my 18000 litre pond?** A: Maggie25ml treats 1,136 litres so 400ml for a 18,000 litre pond. However we have launched a 3X version (Pond Klear Xtra) which is 3 x stronger than standard version, so would be @ 130-150ml dose.It is ideal if you have a very green (murky pea green!) pond or a pond with no filters as it delivers more bactria to deal with the organics that are causing green water. Andy **Q: Will this product affect Water Lillies?** A: No, it will not hurt or adversely water lillies **Q: Have used Envii pond clear for a few weeks. Everything has happened as the instructions but we still have very green water. What do we do now?** A: OK, this is a good sign, but bacteria may be starting to wear out as it has eaten so much muck and you may need to add more to provide reinforcements as there is obviously still muck in the poind to get out as it is still green. May need another Pond Klear or the Pond Klear Xtra which is a bit stronger and better value and when you get it clear you need to keep bacteria topped up to deal with any new dirt added. It sounds like everything going in right direction, just needs some more time and a bit more bacteria. The scenario which we faced was a 200 litre water feature in which my wife had placed two goldfish, pebbles and some plants from our natural pond. Very soon the water and pebbles were totally green and drastic action was needed. We had a smalll solar pump and filter which was not up to the job and therefore we have installed a budget mains powered combined filter and pump; this aerates the water very well and filters it too.So how has this product performed? Not too well at first and I believe that this was due to the pump and filtration system, which whilst solar powered, had an additional battery powered option, which we used to ensure 8 hours of filtering a day. We persevered and purchased a better pump and whilst this had a UV lamp which is constantly on, the combination of the two is addressing the problem. The method which we use to treat our pond is to remove about 8-10 litres of water from the pond, dose it with 25ml of the agent, stir it well and then leave it to develop for 24 hours before introducing it to the main pond whilst the pump and filter is switched off - we leave it for 12 hours and then switch the pump back on - the UV lamp will kill the bacteria created by the concentrate, but we believe that it multiplies sufficiently to remove the algae in sufficient numbers to survive the UV light for an extended period of time..So why 4 stars? Well this is an intermediate report, however, I think that whilst this product has contributed, so has the new pump, plus I get really irritated when suppliers contact me asking me to review their products too soon, not once, but twice, particularly as from their own instructions they suggest that you may not see results for weeks.+++UPDATE+++A month later and 5 doses of the product the water in the water feature is clear and the large cobble pebbles are losing the algae at a rapid rate. I intend to continue dosing the water feature through the winter, probably once a fortnight initially as the water feature is in a shaded area and will not have any direct sunlight at all until the spring, plus I believe that the low water temperature will not promote algae to grow either. If I am wrong I will increase the dose - suffice to say the water is now clear - a combination of pump and this bacterial agent.In essence, I believe that this product, combined with a better pump and filter; which I clean each week has aided our relatively small pond to rid itself of algae.
