Is soft, warm, doesn't itch at all, and is relatively thick. I got the lagoon one with the yellow red and orange stripes. The lagoon is darker than it seems in the picture, and I don't love the stripes personally, but they do look good with the color of the hat. It's like a soft knit sweater material.
